Do I need to be crafty or have any experience to take a workshop?
Absolutely not! Anyone can take our class regardless of experience and leave with a beautiful home décor piece! Our workshops are instructor led and we are here to help you every step of the way!
Is there a minimum amount of people for a private workshop?
Yes! If you click on the "calendar" page and select your location, you will see the minimum amount required for private parties listed at the top of the page.
Do I need to paint my sign the same colors as the sample picture shown?
No way! We may love pink and teal – but that doesn’t mean you have to!! We have a large variety of custom, non-toxic low odor stains as well as water based paints that you can choose from. We will explain a variety of techniques you can use to create the perfect, custom piece for your home with the colors you love the most!
What is your cancellation policy?
Due to the demand and custom nature of our workshops, we do not offer refunds on tickets purchased. If you cannot make the workshop once your ticket has been purchased, you will be given a credit good for 60 days ONLY for the same sign you registered for. After those 60 days are over, your credit will expire.
Can we bring in food and drinks while we DIY?
Yes, however we do ask that you limit it to small snacks and drinks. Our workshops tend to be very full at times and there is limited space on the tables – but you are welcome to bring some things to munch on!
I would love to take one of your workshops, but I do not have 10 people for a private party.
No problem! We hold various “open” workshops each month. Anyone can attend these workshops. Many people come alone, and they also come with a friend or few to DIY. Make a note when you checkout with the names of those you would like to sit with and we will try our best to make sure you are seated with each other!
Can I change what it says on the project?
We can certainly change a word or two to customize it to fit your interests for no charge. We do have the right to refuse any change to signs if it alters the overall design of the sign.
Do you hold birthday parties for children?
Yes! DIY workshops are such a fun, new idea for your children’s birthday parties! Pricing starts at $30 for each child. You have the shop for 2 hours and are welcome to bring snacks or cake for the children to enjoy! There is a minimum of 10 children for birthday parties and the shop can hold 18 children.
How long do workshops last?
All workshops tend to be different, but most workshops last 2.5 hours. We do stack multiple workshops on certain days, so we allow 2.5 hours for all classes.
Is there an age requirement for your workshops?
Because of the tools and power tools that we use, we do require everyone to be 16 years of age when using the tools. We have youth classes where those under 16 can attend and still get the DIY experience!
Cancellation of open workshops
If there are a low number of registrants for an open workshop, we reserve the right to cancel that workshop and either give you a credit towards a future workshop, or give you a refund - it will be your choosing!
